About Michigan Youth Sportsmen Competition

Through participation in this structured training and development program, participants (youth) become safer, more responsible, and ethical hunters.

Michigan Youth Sportsmen Competition is a youth program of the National Rifle Association of America and is recognized as the most comprehensive youth hunting program anywhere in North America.

It is an outdoor skills and safety training program for young hunters and is open to those who have graduated from hunter safety training at the state or provincial level.

Because events are conducted in simulated hunting conditions, Michigan Youth Sportsmen Competition provides the best test of a young hunter’s skills short of an actual situation afield. This training ensures the future of the American hunting tradition is a safe, viable recreational activity the entire family can enjoy.

We encourage you to take a moment to check out this state wide NRA youth program. Learn also how you can be a Michigan Youth Sportsmen Competition sponsor.
